The gallery KUNSTPAKHUSET
KUNSTPAKHUSET in Ikast, Denmark is a new gallery staging temporary exhibitions of contemporary Danish and international art. The gallery, which has been restored now, used to be a railway warehouse and is located near the Ikast railway station. The Independent Institution KUNSTPAKHUSET is responsible for the establishment and restoration of the gallery KUNSTPAKHUSET.
The exhibitions at the gallery is organized by its exhibition comitee and the curator of the gallery.
The visions
The gallery KUNSTPAKHUSET aims to organize art exhibitions as well as other cultural events of a high artistic quality. Therefore, KUNSTPAKHUSET make demands on the artists and craftsmen who have their work on display.
To exhibit at the gallery artists must be members of The Danish Association of Visual Artist (BKF) or Kunstnersamfundet, or have had their work exhibited more than once at one of the five state-authorized exhibitions where their works have been subjected to a selection committee: CF, KP, KS, KE or DCK # (Charlottenborgs Forårsudstilling, Kunstnernes Påskeudstilling, Kunstnernes Sommerudstilling or Kunstnernes Efterårsudstilling or Den Censurerede Kunstudstilling DCK #). The same demands are applicable for foreign artists.
KUNSTPAKHUSET will be pleased to cooperate with other cultural institutions, and will also be available for events of a cultural nature.
Furthermore, the international association of artsist RIIMFAXE will organize their future exhibitions at the gallery KUNSTPAKHUSET.
