Anders Werdelin: "Stemmer fra fortiden"
("Voices from the past"), heights 80 cm

The artists Anders Werdelin, Morten Tillitz and Kim Ashbury present a different kind of memory images. Their exhibition I HU has remembrance as its theme and project. The three artists present a series of different and personal memory images and objects. - Our approach to this theme is personal: We wanted to examine our memory images from childhood and youth against some simple three dimensional set of rules, the three artists say.

"Swan Dress", 2010             (Photo: Jan Berg)

CONSTRUCTIONS WITH CIRCLES, SPIRALS AND LIGHT
The exhibition ’Constructions with circles, spirals, and light’ presents twelve exclusive dress constructions by the dress designer Anne Damgaard.
The exhibition presents quite new works inspired by a journey to Japan. By visual and sensuous impressions from nature, architecture, and an overwhelming simplicity and precision in esthetic expressions. The materials are bought in Japan and range from fine hand woven hemp qualities to very modern synthetic nuno textiles. Her expressive dresses are light and elegant constructions which stylishly and delicately express sensations, movement, and feelings. A sensual and refined interplay between body and textile and a play with light, color, and movement characterize her creations.

MAGI OG REALISME
by Ludmilla Balfour, Anders Christian Pedersen, Carsten Svennson and José Vasconcellos

Anders Christian Pedersen: "Noa", mixed media

THE MAGIC AND ABSURDITY OF LIFE
The exhibition ‘Magic and Realism’ presents the loving and critical gaze at the world and the existence by four artists. All artists have developed a humoristic eye for the magical and bizarre aspects of life in their paintings and graphic art. They have a realistic style of painting and drawing and a feeling for detail in common in their works. Behind their separate themes there is an obvious passion for telling about the enchantment and absurdity of life. This knack for telling stories can be seen in poetic imaginative expressions and strongly satirical provoking ones.

LØST & FAST
An exhibition by Jan Torstenson and Ole Holm Larsen

Painting by Jan Torstenson: "Marsken 2"

LØST & FAST
The informal title of the exhibit “Løst & Fast” implies and shows the two artists Jan Torstenson and Ole Holm Larsen  difference in painting and positioning. Jan Torstensons landscape- and figure paintings  are painted with great expressionism and poetry in both brushstrokes and color choice. Fast and loose rhythmic stencils and hints of figures is combined with great sensitivity in color choice. The paintings and drawings of Ole Holm Larsen have their own strict and resolute form language. His artistic focus is on lines and abstract geometrical shapes. In both shape and color there is firmness and consequence. His artwork has a characteristic graphical colourism. Ole Holm Larsen gets his motifs from nature; for instance motives of cobblestone, bricks, iron and wood. In the last few years architectonic impressions have been amongst the impressions that are included in his drawings themes.

The art project "Millennium" symbolically refers to Lithuania's thousand year anniversary and presents the artworks of seven Lithuanian artists: Inga Likšaitė, Laura Keblytė, Aura Draugelė, Agnė Jonkutė, Irma Leščinskaitė, Žygimantas Augustinas and Tadas Vosylius in Denmark.
The authors intriguingly emphasize constituent parts of "art culture", i.e. form and colour, texture and facture, materiality and time dimension, semantics, its codes and canons. Both virtuosity, mastery of technique and intrigue of contents are given equal importance in their artworks.
The exhibition presents modern textile and painting, kinetic installations, objects and video projections. „Millennium" - is thousands of variations ranging from elementary plastic effects to visualisation of creative process.

THE WONDERFUL
by Maja Gade Christensen, Berit Dröse, Torunn Kjørsvik Haugan,
Anders Reventlov Larsen and Jonas Palm

Berit Dröse: "Wonderful bag"

In exhibition THE WONDERFUL five young artists provide with their varied, individual, and current answers to the classical, philosophical question, "What is happiness?". In a current and modern pop cultural context and frame of mind the question sound like this, 'What is 'The Wonderful'?', if anything. The art works of the exhibition are seen as an examination and a perspective way of looking at the fleeting concept and phenomenon of 'happiness'. That the concept of 'happiness' is under constant displacement and transformation is hinted by the glittering and cheerfully ironical and ambiguous tittle 'the wonderful'.

NU & DA
Jens Chr. Jensen

Sculpture by Jens Chr. Jensen

The exhibition NU & DA
The assemblages, the relief sculptures, sculptures and installations of Jens Chr. Jensen give way for nonverbal, communicative, meditative art experiences. His art speaks the sensual, timeless language of materials. Their calm and conform aesthetic and shape bring about subjective, associative images in the spectator though not intending to represent traditional, didactical or symbolic communication.
The artist does not give the audience guidance as to the artistic experience and to the works, in the way of titles and references to the materials’ originality and functionality. With artistic self-confidence, hen entrust the audience with the work, which covey multiple remnants from both nature and culture.

Anna Sørensen, Ingrid Kathrine Villesen and Gitte Villlesen

Stillphoto from the video "A Silent Movie" by Gitte Villesen

På udstillingen præsenterer hun videoen "A Silent Movie" (15 min., 2007) og fotoserien "Script for a Silent Movie" (22 fotos).
